Da oltre 90 anni, la tessitura FTS è orientata all’innovazione tecnologica, allo sviluppo e alla crescita, conservando l’eredità del Cotonificio Ozella, fondato nel 1924. La continua attività di ricerca tecnologica porta nel 1940 alla registrazione del brevetto internazionale e del marchio Filtrozella. L’azienda si trasferisce a San Maurizio Canavese negli anni ’60 e diversifica la produzione affiancando ai tessuti tradizionali in cotone, la tessitura di prodotti tecnici realizzati con fibre sintetiche (poliestere e poliammide ad alta tenacità).

CARBON FABRICS: APPLICATIONS

AUTOMOTIVE

Automotive and transports widely use fabrics made of advanced fibers.

The most widespread and suitable ones are made in carbon or carbon/aramid fibers (hybrids).

Carbon fiber fabrics combine excellent mechanical properties and light weight.

Hybrid fabrics, offer multiple advantages, thanks to the synergistic combination of different fibers.

ENERGY

In the energy sector, high-tech fabrics give the appropriate solution to the binding requirements of lightness and performance.

FTS carbon and glass special fabrics are recommended for electrical insulating laminates and renewable energy applications (solar panels and wind-turbine blades).

Our industrial fabrics are available in HT polyester, polyamide 6/6.6, carbon, aramid, glass and ring cotton.

The most important features are: light weight, directional strengthening, ease of impregnation and extensive workability of the materials.

FTS weaves dedicated unidirectional or orthogonal carbon fabrics (over 400 g/m²),  aramid products (high impact resistance) and glass roving fabrics for utmost efficiency in terms of time and cost.

AEROSPACE

Aerospace industry is constantly searching for innovative solutions that could provide maximum safety, reliability, structural advantages for top performances.

The materials must be light (for fuel consumption savings) and able to withstand physical stress and extreme environmental conditions.
