[:en]Boat building yards need to know how to respond to complex requirements and a constant technological evolution.
The most important requirements to satisfy in the marine vector are: light weight, directional strengthening, ease of impregnation and very easy handling of the materials during the cutting and positioning phases in the boat building yard.
For this reason FTS propose fabrics in carbon with a relatively high weight (more than 400 g/m²), unidirectional heat set fabrics to facilitate use and impregnation, and, when needed, fabrics made of aramid fibre, when a good impact resistance is requested.[:]
